Mamasitter ambassador program

Be the local face of the community

Mamasitter is a great idea — but it only truly works when the community is alive. It can easily happen that a mom signs up with excitement, then feels alone: unsure how to start, isolated in building connections, not knowing where to begin. The ambassador program exists so there's always someone who brings the local community together, encourages others, and carries the word.

Local moms meeting — Mamasitter ambassador program
The role

What does an ambassador do?

The ambassador is the mom who means others don't have to take the first step alone. The role comes down to three simple but deeply important things.

1

Spread the word

The ambassador shares Mamasitter in physical and online spaces — especially early on, while communities are still building in each neighborhood. They put up a flyer at the nursery or health visitor, post in local mom groups, so as many people as possible hear about the opportunity.

2

Bring the local community to life

The ambassador organizes 1–2 community meetups a month. It doesn't have to be a big production — even opening up a regular playground visit to others is enough. The key is having local, advertised meetups where a newly joined mom, or one who's still hesitant, can show up and meet people.

3

Encourage others to take the first step

They enthusiastically share how the program has helped them, offer tips and good practices to others. They're someone you can turn to with confidence.

What the program offers

What's in it for the ambassador?

A good cause and a creative project

A few flexible hours a month. Within the program's framework, there's real freedom to organize locally and bring your own ideas to life.

A growing community of your own

As you bring local moms together, your own circle grows too. A network forms around you — one where you can ask for help whenever you need it.

A special role and a free app

In the app, an ambassador badge on your profile marks your special role. If a paid version ever launches, ambassadors keep free access — plus additional partner perks.

A voice in what comes next

The app and the whole system evolve based on ambassadors' feedback and experience. You're Mamasitter's local face and voice.

Room to grow

As Mamasitter grows, ambassadors have the opportunity to take on a wider role — becoming part of the core team, or contributing to national initiatives.

Who can be an ambassador?

Who can become one?

No community-organizing experience is required, and you don't need a huge existing following (though both are a bonus). What matters much more is attitude.

Enthusiasm and commitment

We believe enthusiasm makes all the difference. We know that life with a young child is unpredictable, so we're not asking for the impossible — but we do hope to count on our ambassadors long-term and build something together.

Sharing Mamasitter's values

The most important thing is being able to identify with the way Mamasitter sees the world.

Acceptance and empathyWe believe that fundamentally, everyone acts with the best knowledge and intentions they have. We strive for understanding and acceptance.
TrustTrust in each other and in the world. We believe the world is fundamentally a friendly, supportive place.
Conscious optimismWe focus on the good. We don't look away from difficulty, but our outlook is fundamentally positive — we believe in good outcomes and radiate that to the community.
Ground rules

Good to know

A few boundaries that help Mamasitter work well for everyone.

The app is the community's home

The ambassador organizes meetups and introductions through the Mamasitter platform — not in separate Facebook groups. This keeps everyone in one safe, shared place.

Meetups aren't advertising space

It's a bonus if an ambassador offers their own services for moms, but the purpose of community meetups is human connection only — not promoting an existing business. (If you'd like to connect with us as an expert, our Partner Program — coming soon — was made for you!)

No entry fees

Mamasitter meetups are free. If an event needs materials, the pure cost can of course be shared — but the opportunity to connect must always be free for everyone.

Results and how we work

How do we work together?

Even though this is a love-driven community, it matters to us to see that what we're doing is actually working and helping moms. We don't think of this as a cold, corporate performance review.

We experiment and think together. We stay in regular contact and keep an eye on what's happening: how many people came to the meetup? Is the local community growing? Have the first swaps started? When something works, we celebrate. When something doesn't, we talk it through and try something new. We walk the whole path together, as part of a national, supportive network.
